My Wedding Package
The wonderful thing about inviting me to be your Celebrant to create and read your love story at your wedding is there are no rules!
As long as you have legally tied the knot beforehand in front of a minister from the Church of England, Church of Scotland, or a Registrar, you have freedom of choice as to what you would like included in your ceremony, or on your wedding day.
How it works
We will start by having two or three meetings, either face to face, or by telephone (or Zoom), to get to know each other and to create a script. This script is what I will read at your ceremony, usually lasting 25-30 minutes, or longer if you wish.
We can also discuss the history and meaning behind a ritual you might like to include.
I shall also be happy for a style consultation, if you want me to wear a certain colour to match the theme, or setting!
Fees from: £650
Additional fees may apply:-
if you would like me to attend a rehearsal;
and/if you would like me to source items used in a ritual, for keepsakes etc.
Rituals:
You might want to include a ritual, or two, at your ceremony such as:-
Lighting a unity candle
Can be lit at ceremonies in memory of someone, or to symbolize two becoming one using an “oathing stone”; It can be used as a symbolism of love, or as a heart-felt blessing – this ritual originated in Scotland.
Handfasting
Express your love using ribbon, or cord to bind your love.
Sand Ceremony
This can be used to show your commitment by uniting grains of sand in a vessel.
I can also assist you with selecting poetry, prose, or a reading to include in the ceremony or for those who would like to participate personally.
An example of a poem that you might like included at your Wedding:
True Love is a sacred flame that burns eternally.
And none can dim its special glow or change its destiny.
True love speaks in tender tones and hears with gentle ear.
True love gives with open heart and True Love conquers fear.
True love makes no harsh demands. It neither rules, nor binds.
True love holds with gentle hands the hearts that it entwines.
